Addington Palace Wedding Photography | Michelle & Randy

I kick started a mad packed June with some Addington Palace Wedding Photography for Michelle and Randy. It was great to be heading back to Addington Palace, I hadn’t been there since the wedding of a couple of really good friends of ours some years back and it was such a lovely venue I was looking forward to seeing it again.

Bridal prep was full of that last minute, trying to make sure everything is sorted buzz. Thankfully it all went to plan, Michelle’s friends doing a wonderful job of sorting out all those little bits and pieces. Once ready, everyone piled into the Limo and we headed off to the Parish Church of St Mary the Blessed Virgin, a short drive down the road. As we got there, as Michelle was getting ready to head into the church, one of the pageboys dropped one of the wedding rings into a gap between two flagstones. Thankfully some levelheaded calmness (at least on the outside) from the ushers, a bit of prodding and levering with some twigs and sticks and the ring was retrieved seconds before Michelle walked round the corner. Crisis averted and we headed into one of the prettiest churches I have been in. The beautiful rear wall reminded me a lot of the Russian Orthodox Church in Chiswick I photographed back for Sergei and Evgeniya a couple of years ago. The rest of the service went without issue and we returned to Addington Palace for the reception.

Luckily, although not quite as sunny as you would hope for in June, the weather was holding which meant the kids could go and let off some steam on the bouncy castle whilst the adults chatted and relaxed in the various grand rooms in the stunning 18th century manor house. After a wonderful meal, the speeches were heartfelt and emotional. Michelle and Randy have a really strong community of friends and it showed throughout the day. This was followed by the first dance and then a Candy Dance which saw the dance floor packed out – always great for a photographer!
