There are venues I always look forward to shooting at and Ufton Court Weddings are always special – Kate & Will’s wedding was no exception! Starting off on a gloriously sunny May morning, I headed to the Forbury Hotel in Reading for the bridal preparations. Kate and her family were already getting ready in one of the stunning rooms there. After managing to avoid the donuts, we headed to the cars to drive to Ufton Court which looked fantastic in the sunshine. It’s the first time I have been to Ufton Court since they have converted the 2nd barn, it makes a lot of difference and makes the venue even better!
We headed into the main barn for the ceremony, which looked really lovely. The light was perfect and the barn made the perfect intimate setting for Kate and Will to exchange their vows. Everyone then headed back outside to enjoy some lovely spring sunshine out in the gardens with the gorgeous backdrop of the blossom trees. After a couple of group shots, a bit of mingling and chatting and then a stroll to explore the grounds it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
As we started to head into the evening stages of the day, out came the vodka and sambucha shots (facial expressions hinted the vodka may not have been as popular), a bit of football, some arm wrestling and a lot of laughs. With the first dance followed by some interesting dance floor antics by Will and his friends, the party was in full swing.
It was a fantastic day with lovely people and a real pleasure to be a part of. Below is a selection of my favourite shots from the day, please feel free to link, share and comment!!
If you’re getting married at Ufton Court and looking for a photographer, please get in touch and I’d love to chat through options for your day.
