Last month saw me drive some very familiar roads as I went to document the wedding of Julia and Alim at Pitzhanger Manor in Ealing. With relatives in the area and having got married in Ealing myself, it’s a place I know really well yet had still never been to Pitzhanger Manor before. It’s a beautiful venue just behind Ealing Broadway with a lot of charm and character.
You may remember them from their engagement shoot in Richmond Park earlier in the year. That shoot had been a lot of fun so I was looking forward to seeing them again.
The day started with me meeting with Julia at the Drayton Court hotel which is quite stunning since its recent refurbishment. After some really awful weather over the preceding days, it was quite a relief to see the sun poking its way out between the clouds!
Once ready, we headed over to Pitzhanger Manor which was only a few minutes up the road. The ceremony took place in the Georgian Eating Room, where Julia and Alim had written their own vows which was a wonderful way to really make the ceremony their own. Afterwards we headed over to the Gallery, dodging the rain that had just started coming down, for the reception.
During a quick break in the weather we managed to get outside for a few shots, it was still pretty cold though so we worked quickly. The grounds of Pitzhanger Manor were really pretty and it’s all quite close together so we didn’t have to walk far to get some lovely shots and we returned right on cue for them to be introduced to the room for their wedding breakfast!
After dinner saw the speeches followed by some dancing to music from the Five Star Swing Band to finish off the evening.
It was a really great day and a pleasure to be able to document it. As usual, a selection of my favourite images for the day are to be found below, please feel free to share on social media or to leave a comment.
