It seems so long ago that Lizzie and Andy booked me for their Wedding Photography at Haberdashers Hall, yet the day came around so quickly! A stunningly sunny spring day, bridal preparations took place just a short walk across London’s Smithfield at one of the Landmark Trust apartments in Cloth Fair. A beautiful old Georgian building facing St Bartholomew the Great, very quirky inside and a great spot for the girls to get ready. Once makeup was applied, hair finished, veil in and dress donned, we headed out into the gorgeous sunshine for a short walk to Haberdashers Hall for the ceremony and reception.
Quite a stunning venue hidden away in the centre of London, Haberdashers Hall is arranged around a secluded courtyard with a lovely water fountain taking pride of place in the centre. From the outside you would have no idea it was there! The ceremony took place in the Livery Hall, an amazing oak panelled modern room with light pouring in from the bank of windows. After the ceremony the guests got to enjoy the courtyard whilst the hall was turned around for the wedding breakfast. It looked incredible with the really gorgeous floral arrangements. Great speeches followed the meal, although I’ll forever have to take great care when talking about an Octopus and his tentacles!
Once more it was time for the guests to have a mingle and a chat, as well as for the cake to be cut and the bouquet thrown (the cake was a masterpiece, with the most intricate cake topper I have ever seen) before the dancing began. The band were fantastic and ensured a busy dance floor from the start. All in all, a superb day which, hopefully, shows in the images below.
If you’re getting married at Haberdashers Hall and would like to have a chat about photography, please feel free to contact me. Comments and shares on this post are incredibly welcome!
