Ham Polo Club Wedding Photography | Sarah & Ali

I was really pleased when Sarah and Ali booked me to provide their Ham Polo Club Wedding Photography. From the moment I first met them I knew it was going to be a fantastic day.

I started the day over at their house in Surbiton where Sarah was getting ready. The sun was out, everyone was relaxed, having fun and it was the perfect start to the day. The atmosphere was incredibly chilled and everything went to plan and easily on time. Once everyone was sorted and into the cars (thankfully not forgetting the flowers) we headed off to Ham Polo Club for the rest of the day.

I’ve not shot at Ham Polo Club before so was really pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It’s a gorgeous venue with loads of natural light and lots of space both inside and out. Whilst waiting for Sarah to finish her interview with the registrars, I was getting some detail shots and it occurred to me that there was this easy elegance to the theme of the day that. As the day progressed, I realised summed up Sarah and Ali entirely. It was all very beautiful. The ceremony was lovely and it was plain to see just how much they meant to each other.

After the ceremony everyone took full advantage of the sunshine and went out onto the deck above the polo club for drinks. The kids had great fun watching the horses being exercised and the planes coming in to land at Heathrow! After spending some time chatting and enjoying the sun (and a ‘gentle’ breeze), the guests made their way back downstairs for the wedding breakfast whilst I grabbed a couple of quick shots of Sarah and Ali together. The speeches were great and gave a wonderful impression of just how much their friends think of them both. This was all followed by enthusiastic use of the dance floor!

I’ve spent ages trying to narrow down the selection for the blog, quite frankly I gave up. There was just too much going on and I have already had to miss out loads that I would have loved to have posted. It was an absolutely brilliant day with some of the nicest people I could ever hope to work with.
