Another local wedding for me was Heather and Matts Wedding at the lovely Glenmore House in Surbiton, Surrey.
The day start off with bridal preparations at The Foley in Claygate where Heather was busy getting ready with her bridesmaids. It was a nice relaxed start today, educational too – discovering the pitfalls of trying to drink Prosecco through a straw! Still, the straws looked pretty. It was then a short trip in the car to St. Andrews Church in Surbiton for the ceremony. It’s really beautiful church, lots of space and fantastic light inside.
Once the ceremony was complete, the first part of the reception was held at the church, utilising the cafeteria next door, to make the most of the weather and some outside space. Everyone enjoyed some drinks and canapes whilst a quartet (discovered by Heather and Matt, busking in Kingston) played in the background. What a lovely way to spend a sunny summer afternoon!
From the church we made the short walk over to Glenmore House for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. The meal was followed by some really great speeches before heading to the bar, the sweetie table and a little bit more outside time to make the most of the evening sunshine. Everyone then gathered to watch the cake being cut and then the first dance, the band then saw the evening out with lots of great music and plenty of people dancing.
A really lovely day, a great couple and wonderful guests. All the ingredients of a fantastic wedding! As always, plenty of images from the day below. Please feel free to comment in the boxes underneath. If you’re getting married and want to have a chat about photography then please get in touch! In the meantime, Heather and Matts wedding at Glenmore House:
