The night before Will and Nicols wedding saw me lying in bed, wide awake, listening to a torrential downpour. I’ve been incredibly lucky this year and have had some stunning weather, even those where there has been rain, it has only been a shower here or there and has not really affected the day at all. When the morning eventually rolled around, the rain was still falling, the only consolation was that it was at least no longer a monsoon and the entire wedding was to be held at awesome Warren House in Kingston. This at least meant no-one had to go outside. So off I went to meet up with Nicol for the bridal prep shots.
The bridal suite at Warren House is nothing short of stunning. A huge great bay window lets in swathes of beautiful natural light, even when the weather outside is less than stellar. I love doing bridal prep and this was a fantastic setting to start the day. Afterwards we headed down to the Ballroom for the ceremony. Once again, another gorgeous room with massive windows. With some unbelievable luck, and contrary to every forecast I had checked (as if one forecast sucks I keep checking others until I find one I like!), the rain abated and eventually disappeared altogether. After the ceremony, keen to make the most of our luck, we darted outside for the group shots and for Will, Nicol and I to disappear for 10 minutes to grab some shots of just the two of them.
Nicol and Will make a really fantastic couple and I hope they have an awesome 2nd wedding out in Malaysia. They were a wonderful couple to work with and real naturals in front of the camera. This probably explains why I have had such a hard time narrowing down their blog images, so I must apologize as this is a record number of shots to show, even for me!!!
