Documentary Wedding Photography
Choosing the images for a single portfolio gallery is one of the jobs I find the hardest. Trying to sum up my style of documentary wedding photography in less images
than I would normally show for a single wedding blog post is pretty much impossible. Hopefully, what I have been able to do though is give an idea of how I shoot.
There is a little bit of everything, from bridal preparations, ceremonies, afternoon drinks, through to speeches and the evening dancing. My style is, wherever possible,
very much of a documentary nature, telling the story of your day with a minimum of intrusion.
Whilst I could cover the entire day in a pure reportage manner, I do recognise the importance of getting some beautiful shots of the two of you on your big day. I do
this as unobtrusively as possible, finding a time in the day when you miss as little of your wedding as possible. It is amazing what can be achieved in such a short time
and hopefully the images in the gallery reflect this.
This is obviously just a very very small sample of the thousands of wedding images I have taken over the years. As well as the images in the gallery and the additionally linked blog posts,
if you take a look through the rest of my blog there are loads of fantastic examples of documentary wedding photography for you
to see.
